On the Road Boredom: Funny Truck Signs That Would Make You Smile or LOL

A long trip – or even just a short one – can be soooo boring at times. I have had tons of experience . It may be because you’re with someone who is annoying, because you are stuck somewhere you don’t wanna be (stuck in street because of a car wreck, or heavy traffic), or simply because you wanna do something else rather than sit in a car.

At times like that, what do you do? The first response is to of course turn on the radio (or some other sort of music device) and rock on! Or perhaps sing on! Too :) If that fails, you can start playing games on your phone or ipad. If you’re lucky and there’s a wifi or 3G signal somewhere near your site of boredom, then the internet will save you (and facebook, twitter, youtube, more!).

Heist Movies I Enjoy

Before, I can’t help but wonder why authorities allow the making of heist movies. I mean, don’t those films encourage people to become thieves? Don’t those films teach thieving strategies? Don’t they teach thieves to get creative and all? It’s like asking film writers and directors to plot a crime. LOL. Anyway, let me stop ranting and instead just do a blog post on those heist movies that I enjoy.

If you plan on becoming a thief soon (or if you plan on catching one), better make sure you have watched these films first before you strike.

Great Songs to Play Air Guitar To

I have always loved guitars and I have tried to learn to play them too. I did learn… somehow… I learned to play a song or two using an acoustic guitar… but I never went past that. In fact, it has been years since I have held my pink guitar (got one a number of years ago). That’s really sad when I think of it considering that I love guitar riffs and I often imagine myself playing guitar so well someday… For now however, my next big dream involving guitars would be to play an air guitar to some rock music guitar riffing (after several listening sessions of head banging while playing at Foxybingo.com plus a month or so of practice)

If you love listening to rock music – from Ozzy Osborne to the Foo Fighters or if you too, are just in love with guitars like I am, then maybe you’ll also be interested in some of the greatest songs to play air guitar to.

Songs to Listen to While Driving or Road Tripping

What kind of songs do you love to listen to while you’re on a road trip? Notice that I didn’t say “while you’re driving” because I still don’t know how to drive. lol. I do, however, join in a lot of road trips with hubby, and more than often – with the whole family.

Hubby likes RnB songs much. Me, on the other hand, opt for a variety and my choices depend on a number of factors like the traffic pile-up on our route (feel good music, pop songs please), if I feel cozy and I wanna hug my zabuton (relaxing, dozing off tunes), if the windows are open or not (sing-along, dance-along mode on!), and more.

Lockets and Necklaces in Movies

Jewelries play important roles in movies (and I think that there are times when they get more attention than the stars flaunting them) – and they are also very important in merchandise sales. Anyway, I just watched Eclipse a few days ago and it made me wonder how many guys got their girlfriends a replica of Bella’s engagement ring – plus how many Edward-Bella fans actually got the ring for themselves. Whew! People must be earning a lot from selling movie jewelry merchandise. lol

Next to rings and bracelets, necklaces (and lockets and pendants) are usually among the most commonly used objects of symbolism in movies – and that’s not just in romantic movies – it’s actually all over tons of films. Here are some of my favorite necklaces, pendants, and lockets from the movies…

Have you met a terrorist? A terrifying terrorist?

Just by the title alone, you’ll know who I’m referring to if you have indeed seen one of his videos (or his shows). Me and hubby first stumbled upon his first video (or maybe not – I’m not really sure) last year and I just remembered it now and visited their YouTube account for more… Wait, I haven’t really told you who I’m talking about. LOL. He’s Achmed (pronounced Acchhhh-med), the dead terrorist. I’ll let the great Jeff Dunham introduce him to you. Watch the video below and be ready to laugh (that is if we’re on the same humor wavelength) Make sure to check out your Direct TV showing times, this is a show you do not want to miss….

Creative Car Advertisements that I Get

It’s been a while since I have featured ads here and it’s because I have not been watching a lot of TV lately. I have been skipping TV shows and watching movies on DVD more – and I have been surfing the internet much much more. Anyway, I was looking for some resources on car rentals Johannesburg airport for a relative, I stumbled upon some creative car advertisements.

I’m no ad expert and no car buff too so I’m delighted when I see interesting car ads with messages that I instantly get – without the need to ask whys and hows. I was so delighted that I thought you should see these too… Read the rest of this entry →

Planning on Making a Music Video?

My brother has joined two video contests just recently and he’s enjoying it much. That’s why we are planning on making his YouTube Channel where we can publish his would-be “experiments” – videos of him dancing, singing, whatever. He still doesn’t have concrete plans but he told me he’d be joining another contest which requires the participants to submit music videos. Anyway, I’m telling you this because I’m listing down a few video ideas for people who are planning on making their own MVs for the purpose of joining contests, being popular, or just plain entertainment…
