I am having a hard time organizing all the movies I have. I actually am puzzled as to whether I should file everything by genre, by year, by our “rating”, or by “old” to “new” acquisitions. I don’t know what would be better. How do you do it?

I tried to search online and I discovered that there are actually plenty of computer software programs made for movie cataloging. Some will allow you to create databases where you can easily classify the movies based on categories you set – and then search for them in whatever way you want (by genre, by year, etc.). You can even browse your movie database with a corresponding mobile app – and you can share your database online. Cool right? Most of these software programs cost $10 to $50.
